Restaurant
Dera Springfield
A restaurant website built to showcase the menu and atmosphere clearly, with a simple path to reservations and directions.
The Challenge
Restaurant sites live or die on how quickly a hungry visitor can find the menu, hours, and location. The brief was to create something visually warm and appetizing without slowing the site down with oversized photography — a common problem with restaurant websites.
The Approach
- Designed a visual-first homepage built around high-quality food photography, but served through compressed, responsive images so it stayed fast.
- Structured the menu as an easy-to-scan page rather than a downloadable PDF, which is friendlier for mobile visitors and better for SEO.
- Added clear, sticky access to hours, location, and a reservation/contact path from every page.
- Used WordPress so the client can update menu items and prices themselves without editing code.
The Result
The finished site gives visitors what they're looking for — menu, vibe, and location — within seconds of landing, and the client can keep the menu current without outside help.
